The RBCA is making plans for this year’s Richmond Beach Celebration. The annual Strawberry Festival is usually part of the celebration. Since we cannot have a party in the park, we decided to go big and celebrate all month long! We like to think of it as a way of giving back to the community.
Activities being planned include:
Here is a sneak peek at the events coming up in May:
This will be the week where we introduce the event and “kick off” many of our planned experiences. Start your activity card, attend a local plant sale, do something special for Mother’s Day, go on a scavenger hunt and more.
This week we will focus on non-food related businesses with an emphasis on shopping local and educating the community on services our local businesses provide. Look for webinars and videos on the Richmond Beach YouTube Channel: Richmond Beach TV.
We will be spotlighting local restaurants and feature Richmond Beach food-themed specials. We encourage you to dine local–even if it means taking food to go and not ordering from a food delivery service. While at the restaurant, be sure to check in on your social media accounts showing these restaurants support.
From the new mural to the parks and a walk along the bluff, our community has it all. Searching for orcas and finishing up a scavenger hunt is a perfect way to end the month-long celebration.
If you are a local business or organization and want to participate in this year’s Richmond Beach Celebration, please contact RBCA Executive Director Teresa Pape at firstname.lastname@example.org ASAP. Participation is free.
