The Richmond Beach Community Association (RBCA) is offering a $500 scholarship to high school seniors currently living in the Richmond Beach area. This area is defined by our boundaries: North - Snohomish County Line; South - Richmond Beach Saltwater Park and Innis Arden; East - 8th Ave NW; West - Puget Sound. Qualified students are those who are planning to pursue full-time continuing education through a technical program, community college or a university in the coming (2020) academic year. Family members of RBCA Board members are not eligible for this scholarship.
This scholarship may be applied to the cost of tuition and fees, books or supplies required for courses of instruction at the educational institution of your choice.
The scholarship will be paid by RBCA directly to the educational institution, for the use of the scholarship recipient once enrolled.
All applicants for the RBCA Scholarship must submit a one-page essay that addresses one or more of the following:
- Describe an experience of how living in Richmond Beach, and partaking in the various community functions, has enriched your life and the community.
- Describe what volunteering within Richmond Beach has meant to you.
- Describe a valuable experience you have had while growing up in the Richmond Beach community.
Scholarship applications will be evaluated by a committee based on defined criteria including, but not limited to, the amount of volunteer activity, and the content and quality of the essay.
